Powder Vintage

Passion meets gorgeous fabrics, exquisite brands, and over 600 vintage sunglasses

here in the centre of Rome

Lately, I created 2 artworks which are inspired by the fantastic vintage store in the middle of Rome. I was on my way to the new stay for the night, and my view fell on the beautiful orange facade.

I planned a trip to Italy simply to eat good food and enjoy the pleasant temperatures of early November. While eating my way across Bologna, I came up with the idea to visit a vintage store in Rome. I love to get lost in the vintage items that tell a story, and I love great materials, which are not so fragrant, found on modern fast fashion.

With this in mind, I went to Rome and within the first 20 minutes I bumped into the fabulous vintage store named "Powder Vintage Shop" right next to the Papal Basilica of Saint Mary Major.

If the map doesn’t work pleas click here to show the location with Google maps.

Besides lovely Gelato, bustling streets and lots and lots of history, combined with incredible Ancient Roman Architecture, there is another thing we can not close our eyes to, and that is Rome's street fashion.

The style is anything but boring and usually a statement rounded up with sunglasses, which are tucked away in the hair, a blousy pocket or casually carried in hand, which makes the art of speaking with gestures so much stronger in expression.

If you are visiting Rome and are looking for a statement piece, SUNGLASSES and/or vintage fashion, check out:

📍Powder Roma Vintage Shop - the best store to find Vintage Sunglasses and exquisite Vintage Fashion

📍Amazing Clothes & Accessoriess - right in the centre a petite store with beautiful accessories

With 600+ Vintage Sunglasses from the 80th - this store is a must visit! Please be aware that, before setting foot in, no fast fashion is to be found here, but rather incredible fabrics, materials, and brands collected and sold by the passionate owner, who remodels the vintage glasses with modern UV ones and freely delivers the story of each piece with it. He also has an incredibly large collection of Vintage Windsor Glasses and does international shipping on his Etsy shop: Amor Vintage Eyewear.

Besides eating Gelato and shopping, I spend each day in awe and wandering the city’s gems - I found it breathtaking to use the time of my stay to explore the city on foot, as the architecture is extremely impressive and I haven't seen ancient buildings that are so well-preserved as those in Rome. I am not much of a city person, and after a day or two, I am usually happy to spend time in nature, but here I felt I could spend endless more days in awe of the Roman Architecture that is breathtaking.

…and left to say is: I am looking for to see you again! <3
