LOVE BUSES LARNACA

driving around the city and enjoying the fresh breeze on a hot summer day

Love Buses Larnaka is a wonderful old Optare Bus which was originally built in the UK. Nowadays, this beautiful old red and yellow bus takes you sightseeing around the city and the outer suburbs of Larnaca. A gorgeous city that holds lots of history, and is just a short drive from the airport. The beaches are sandy and the massive luxury Hotels are directly on the beachfront, and many to choose from.

Here in Larnaca, you get to see the beach that is accompanied by warm water and palm trees. The weather is hot during the high season, which spreads from June to late October - a dip in the ocean seems to be the perfect thing to do to cool down, but here, a Treasure is buried just 1,5 km off the coast. A short boat ride takes us to one of the top 10-rated dives in the world, the MS Zenobia. A Swedish Ferry that carried a large cargo of Trucks sank in 1980. These days, it is a delight and a tremendously incredible experience to witness the MS in the depths of the Mediterranean Sea. Of course, Larnaca is the best spot to find a dive centre and discover the beauty in the depths yourself. More about that later…

We visited within 2,5 hours several interesting locations and had a little stopover at 3 of them to discover the beauty that those historic places offer.

  • The holy Church of the Virgin Mary - Angeloktisti at Kiti

  • The historic lakefront Mosque - Hala Sultan Tekke

  • The landmark water bridge from the 1750th - Kamares Aqueduct

The tour itself was a happy ride with music and lots of knowledge about Cyprus‘ history - I enjoyed the evening trip that graced us with lots of interesting facts about the island in the sun, a light breeze on a hot summer day and a breathtaking sunset.

To catch the Love Bus sightseeing tour in Larnaka yourself, please check out the website www.lovebusessightseeing.com or hop on the tour at Finioudes Beach directly next to the little kiosk, where you shouldn’t miss out on grabbing an ice-cold frappe.

Happy ride xox
