Hungry Horse
Cosy, welcoming and the place to be for authentic greek cuisine
The Hungry Horse Restaurant in Ayia Napa not only serves food; it offers a culinary excursion through Greece.
I had no expectations at all when I opened the door - I ordered fish, which was a dream. Garlic Bread, Olives and pickled Veggies came as amuse-bouche. The entire meal was plenty and fantastic!
Ayia Napa is one of the main tourist centres and it offers many attractions, lots of beautiful sandy beaches and pleases visitors with a wide variety of watersports and beach entertainment. Restaurants and Bars are plentiful; the city's population is approximately 4,700 people, which doubles during the summer months due to tourists. It's safe to say Ayia Napa is bustling during the season.
Somewhere in the middle of the busyness of the night entertainment lies the wonderful Greek Taverna Hungry Horse, which invites you to a culinary excursion through Greece. A family-run business that serves delicious highlights from the Greek kitchen and some typical traditional dishes. Luckily, I hired a Quad as I love to check out all the beaches along the coastline, it actually came in handy at night as the bustle of the streets reminded me of the Las Vegas Strip.

The atmosphere was welcoming and charming. The kitchen closed at 10 pm. I entered the restaurant at 9:30 pm, and almost every seat was taken. The moment I was seated until I left with a belly full of heaven, I felt like home. The evening was far more than delicious and delightful; it was love at first sight that entered my belly, and I must admit I am still dreaming of the exquisite flavours I got to taste that night.
Friendly, delicious, and welcoming is what comes to mind when I think of the Hungry Horse Restaurant.
If you are looking to enjoy excellent and authentic Greek food in a wonderful ambience, this is the place to enjoy and dine.
